Great read. As a founder, the capital raise is as nerve racking and in many ways disingenuous from investors who are looking for their own unicorns. No startup goes off without hiccups, unplanned internal disasters or finding optimal product/market fit out of the gate.
The key to a successful startup is persistence, tenacity and overcoming your own fears. Coupled with the ability to pulling together a team that works well together and shares a common goal. This is half the proverbial battle.
Investors who don’t have the patience or a clear understanding of the market I would avoid at all costs. They are breaking the first rules of investing — you never invest in markets you don’t understand. Their greed will be your undoing.
